The mandarin is the only sweet fruit of the citrus family. This particular type, Ciaculli, owes its name to the cultivation area in which it was discovered: Ciaculli, a district of Palermo. It is named late because its maturation occurs later than the other varieties.
ts origins being absolutely natural, the strong scent, the sugar content, the thin skin, the presence of the seed, make the Tardivo di Ciaculli a unique and unmistakable mandarin. Its segments are small and juicy. Moreover, the pulp contains few seeds and has a light orange colour. Its skin, thin and easy to remove, is light orange in colour and very fragrant.
Our mandarins are not treated with packaging chemicals, such as wax or anti-rot.
Any doubts about the quantity to order? Nutritionists suggest a daily consumption of 2-3 oranges per adult, about 5 kgs per week. For a glass of orange juice (250 ml), about 700 grams are needed.

Since when the fruits are harvested to the moment that they are shipped it takes up to 24 hours. If, for example, you order on Monday, we deliver to your home on Wednesday, to avoid leaving citrus fruits in the refrigerating rooms and to really offer you fresh fruits. Outside of Italy, delivery time can vary between 3 and 5 working days, depending on the country.
We pick and select our citrus fruits straight from our Melilli farm (in the province of Syracuse), in order to always offer you fresh products.
Both our PGI blood oranges and our mandarins are certified and fertilized with organic nitrogen and Organic Farming authorized plant protection products.
Our oranges are not treated, so don’t let months pass before eating them!
We recommend you to keep the oranges in a cool place (the fridge is fine, but the terrace is better) not stacking them one on top of the other so as not to damage them.
